Why do some recipes tell you to, ';scrape the sides of bowl occassionally'; while beating ingredients?

Does it make a difference if you scrape the bowl a lot?Why do some recipes tell you to, ';scrape the sides of bowl occassionally'; while beating ingredients?
It just means to make sure everything gets mixed well and does not matter if you do it a lot.Why do some recipes tell you to, ';scrape the sides of bowl occassionally'; while beating ingredients?
Scraping the sides of the bowl, brings all your ingredients back into the main, otherwise as you are leaving traces of other ingredients around the outside, as your others are nicely being blended into one flavour. If you bring in at the finish, you will have a layered taste and texture instead of one taste and consistancy.
this allows all the ingredients to mix together properly without any being left behind. If you scrape the bowl a lot it will not make a difference only blend them better.
No, but it does make a difference if you dont' scrape it at all.

Not all mixers cleanly include ingredients stuck to the sides of the bowl. You need to use a rubber spatula to scrape those down so they can be incorporated into a homogenous batter.
Yes, to make sure that all the ingredients are evenly incorporated
so that u mix everything in. and no it doesnt make a difference if u do a little or a lot. its just reminding u to make sure everything is mixed in
so everything will get incorporated in the mix, sometimes the unmixed ingredients tend to get stuck to the bowl so as you are mixing scrape the sides so everything gets mixted in what ever you are cooking. Happy cooking.
You only need to scrape the bowl once , nearing the end of your mixing time.......it's just to make sure that everything is incorperated properly
you need to have the whole batter incorporated
it is simple......u notice that when beating ingredients you have some sticking to the sides of the bowl.......1) you need to mix it in occassionally and not once at the end so that you get a consistent mixture and taste. (2)you need to scrape the sides in so all your ingredients are mixed in properly. And no it doesn't matter if you scrape the bowl a lot, it will only matter if you don't
