Do you have a website for healthy recipes or just a healthy recipe you like to make?

I am trying to lose weight and I want to start by switching to some healthier food. Basically something easy to make that I can just make for myself when my family has something that isn't really healthy.Do you have a website for healthy recipes or just a healthy recipe you like to make?

Here is a recipe I like!

Parrothead Salad

INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)

1 head leaf lettuce - rinsed, dried, and torn into bite-size pieces

1/2 pound fresh strawberries, sliced

1/2 pound fresh blueberries

1 mango, peeled, seeded, and cut into strips

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1/2 cup raisins

1/4 cup toasted slivered almonds

1/4 cup chopped red onion

4 slices bacon

DIRECTIONS

Toss the lettuce, strawberries, blueberries, mango, tomatoes, raisins, almonds, and onions together in a salad bowl. Cover, and refrigerate at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to mingle. Do not refrigerate more than 4 hours.

Place the bacon in a large, deep skillet, and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until crisp and evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain the bacon slices on a paper towel-lined plate. Crumble and sprinkle over the salad to serve.

Enjoy! :)Do you have a website for healthy recipes or just a healthy recipe you like to make?
your welcome!!! :D Report Abuse

This is a dip

I suggest to use '; Mission Tortilla Triangles'; YUM!

square pan: l spread a layer of refried beans with some cumin added

next on top of that: black beans (drained from can)

chopped(diced) cucumber, diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, diced avacado (+ any other veggies you like , even shredded carrot...I add a ton of veggies-it helps make this last longer because it gets eaten sooo fast!)

on top of that add chopped cilantro and maybe some onion ( I don't add much onion..enough to taste)

( I usually add shredded cheddar too)

The very top I add some sprinkles of lemon juice (from one of those plastic squeezies)
We eat very healthful here, but what kinds of foods do you like? Any specific nationality, spicy or not, any veggies you dislike, favorites (fruit, meat, fish, rice, pasta, grains, tofu?, etc.). Have a ton of recipes that are delicious, but good for you. Either e-mail or update your post, and I would be more than happy to help ;) ~ Good for you!!!
