I can already fry bacon and scrample eggs and I'm going to cook chili tonight, but what are some things that I could cook that will increase my cooking skills. I'm just kind of learning to cook, really. I'm only almost 14.What are some recipes for someone who's just learning to cook?

MAKING DIFFERENT SOUPS,IS A START, THEN ADDING PASTA WHICH IS REALY EASY,JUST COOK THEN THE AMOUNT OF TIME THAT IS ON PACKAGE, AND SOME DIFFERENT SAUCES. AND YOUR ON YOUR WAY REMEMBER TO TAKE YOUR TIME,NAMASTE
Mac n cheese with cut up hot dogs. also try starting with breakfast bacon eggs %26amp; potatoes %26amp; toast
spaghetti and meat balls go to the store get a traditional sauce add the meatballs you can buy premade and cooked one and mix it up add some spices and make some garlic bread and boil some noodles and there ya go
I started baking when I was your age and before long I was making cheesecakes from scratch. Cook what you like to eat! Whatever your favorite meal is, cook that. Mine was baked chicken. If someone in your family is a good cook, have them help you. Watch and learn.
A really tasty Spaghetti bolognese is always a good recipe to learn and can be further adapted into lasagne and many other dishes with slight variations.

The secret with this dish is that you have to get the seasoning just right (the salt and pepper) and because it's tomato based you have to get the sweetness right too.

Many people say they can make it but to make a really great one takes lots of practice, just remember to taste at every stage as you are making it- great practice for learning how to cook really well.
